TR6 pi

This website is dedicated to my favourite Triumph TR the petrol injected TR6. Even with the aerodynamics of a brick,it is still my favourite TR.

Take a look at my TR6 on line photo album filled with pictures from my latest TR6 restoration project, which is a conversion from a right hand drive to a left hand drive TR6pi.

There are also images of the restoration to Concours standard, of my first TR6 pi that started my interest, and passion for this model back in 1979.

Another TR6, a Sapphire Blue TR6 pi was restored by myself, to Concours condition. Though built to Concours, both of these cars were driven as a TR should be driven, here in the IK and also in Europe. As well as winning many awards in Concours d' Elegance i.e. Benson and Hedges, Autoglym, TR Register and European shows etc. both cars are well documented in TR books such as Original Triumph TR4 / 4a / 5 / 6 by author Bill Piggott and Triumph Sportscars - Colour Family Album- Author David Sparrow also Autofolio Triumph TR4 - 5 - 6 author Michael Richards (unfortunately out of print) and classic car magazines such as Classic Cars, Classic and Sportscar also Popular Classics and Sportscar Monthly.

When my club, the TR Register asked me to design and co-ordinate the manufacture of the monument to Standard Triumph, I considered it a great honour. It now stands to the rear of the Standard Triumph Social Club on Herald Avenue on the old Standard -Triumph factory site at Canley, Coventry, England.   The only remaining building left on the 95 acre (38.44 hectares) site which is now a retail trading park. Access to the Social club is from Tile Hill Lane which runs parallel with Herald Avenue. The Steward there used to be a Union Convener at the Triumph factory when I worked there from 1969 until 1974

With 54 local groups in the UK the TR Register is one of the largest one marque classic car clubs in the UK. Catering solely for the TR2 - TR8 and derivatives.  One of the very few clubs that is run for the enthusiast, by the enthusiast.
